This page describes how Car Floor handles visitor data. HALOX Co. publishes the site at thecarfloor.com, including the www host. The writing is English, for a general adult audience in the United States who want to understand how cars actually work. The site is not directed at children under 13.

We do not run accounts or a newsletter. There is no login, no signup, and no form that collects an email address.

Car Floor uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve those ads. That includes advertising cookies and the DoubleClick cookie. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets Google and its partners show ads based on visits to this site and to other sites on the Internet. Personalized ads may be shown based on your interests.

You can opt out of personalized ads in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at the Network Advertising Initiative and at YourAdChoices. Opting out does not turn the ads off. The site uses Google Analytics to see which pages are read. Analytics may set its own cookies. That measurement is separate from the ads.

Cloudflare hosts the files so a browser can load them. In the ordinary course of hosting, Cloudflare may see request logs — for example an IP address, a user agent, the page requested, and a timestamp. Those logs exist so the pages can be delivered and the host can protect the service. They follow Cloudflare’s own terms, not a list we keep. A browser or the host may still store a technical cookie for security or delivery. That cookie is not an ad.

Editorial stills are self-hosted. Captions name the source. We do not sell personal information. We do not have a subscriber list. Mail sent to the contact address is read to answer it. It is not added to a list.

Use the address on the Contact page ([email protected]) for privacy questions about a message you sent us. We cannot delete logs held only by the host or by Google.
