The 2026 Buick Enclave still wears check-shaped lamps

Check-shaped LED daytime lamps mark the redesigned Enclave face. They do not establish Sport Touring, Avenir, Super Cruise, or all-wheel drive.

The check-shaped daytime lamps are the curb tell on a redesigned Enclave, and they are easy to over-read. From the nose, the LEDs draw a small wing, or a check, above the low grille. Buick’s next-generation launch named that treatment signature winged lighting and checkmark-style LED headlamps, with cross-car LED taillamps carrying the same idea around the back. The shape identifies the redesigned face. It does not identify a trim.

Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir all wear those lamps. Buick’s 2026 Enclave page, as archived on June 11, 2026, still shows a 2025 body in White Frost Tricoat and puts the visual split somewhere else: a black mesh grille, exclusive wheels, and a flat-bottom steering wheel on Sport Touring, and an exclusive grille with 22-inch wheels on Avenir. A bright grille and a dark mesh grille can share the same checks. The launch release also assigned a walk-up lighting animation to Avenir. That sequence is not the check shape, and daytime lamps that are simply on are not performing it.

Super Cruise is the same kind of false read. The launch release made it available across Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir, and the 2026 page still lists it as available on those three trims. Nothing in the lighting says a hands-free plan was ordered. All-wheel drive is optional in the same way. That page says front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is available on each trim. EPA’s 2026 records list a 2.5L and an eight-speed automatic for both drivetrains. The checks do not say which axle is driven.

For one car, the window sticker still does the sorting the lamps cannot: model year, Preferred or Sport Touring or Avenir, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and whether Super Cruise is on the build. The checks are the family face. A 2025 photograph is fair to use here because Buick’s own 2026 page was still showing the prior-year body, and the length it published, 207.6 inches, matches the launch specification. The lamps do not separate those two model years from the sidewalk.
