The 2026 Hyundai Palisade still wears vertical daytime lamps

The 2026 Palisade combines vertical daytime lamps and a horizontal positioning light. Those shared design cues do not identify its powertrain or wheel package.

The 2026 Palisade’s identifying front graphic combines vertical daytime running lamps at the corners with a horizontal center positioning light. Hyundai names both elements in its U.S. debut release. The verticals emphasize height; the horizontal element gives the upright nose a width reference around the grille.

The lower fascia performs a different job. Hyundai identifies active airflow shutters there. The shutters should not be confused with another decorative light band, and a closed-looking section in one photograph does not mean the vehicle lacks a cooling intake. Its airflow hardware can be in a different operating position from the one captured in a promotional image.

The side view explains the generation change more clearly than a lamp close-up. Hyundai reports a front overhang shortened by 1.6 inches and a wheelbase extended by 2.7 inches compared with the previous generation, plus a longer rear cabin. It describes forward-raked D-pillars and larger side glass around the third row. Those are packaging and proportion changes, not proof of comfort for a particular passenger.

Wheel size also needs the manufacturer’s qualifier: wheels are offered up to 21 inches. The largest wheel in a launch photograph is not standard on every trim. The same care applies to powertrain identification. The release introduced gasoline and hybrid versions, with different scheduled arrival windows; the broad new light graphic does not authenticate which one a listing shows.

The April 2025 announcement planned gasoline arrivals for early summer and hybrid sales for early fall. Those dated plans replace the earlier claim that a photographed car was necessarily on a U.S. curb “now.” Use the front graphic to recognize the redesign, then the sticker to confirm year, powertrain and selected wheels.
