The 2026 Lucid Gravity still wears a glass canopy

The Gravity’s glass-canopy design is a recognizable cabin feature, but “the glass starts and does not stop” overstates what a photograph can establish. Lucid itself uses the canopy name for its Gravity sunshade set, listing left and right front shades and a rear shade. That confirms the manufacturer’s terminology, not one uninterrupted structural pane.

Dark glass, roof framing and reflections can merge visually in an exterior photograph. Read the broad glass-covered area as a design impression, then inspect the actual roof construction and equipment if that detail matters to a purchase. The canopy appearance does not measure glare, cabin temperature or headroom, and this article does not claim an occupancy test.

Seat count is an equally important limit. Lucid’s 2026 Grand Touring introduction includes a range qualification for a two-row, five-seat configuration. A Gravity should therefore not automatically be described as a three-row SUV in every specification. The long cabin can accommodate different configurations without making the exterior a reliable seating record.

The release explicitly names the 2026 Grand Touring, so that is the scope here. Its figures, options and historical order-opening statement should not be extended to every later Gravity variant. In particular, a smooth nose or large roof pane cannot establish motor count, range or the enabled driver-assistance package.

For identification, use the slender front graphic, cabin proportions and Gravity lettering together. For the practical questions, check the individual build’s seating and roof specification. The former recognizes a design family; the latter establishes what the particular vehicle actually includes.
