Audi Q9: what curved OLED tail lights identify
Audi’s announced Q9 introduces curved OLED rear panels; U.S. engine and launch timing need their own market-specific checks.
The curved rear OLED panels are the distinctive feature in Audi’s announced Q9 design. Its manufacturer release identifies the outer curved panel as the largest OLED panel Audi has fitted and describes the way the panels follow the body contours. The supplied photographs are labeled U.S.-specification examples. This guide covers the announced Q9 design; the release does not verify its U.S. model-year designation.

Audi also describes Digital Matrix LED headlights with micro-LED modules and projected turn-signal graphics. Those descriptions establish the announced technology; they do not demonstrate a lighting function on a delivered car or settle every market’s enabled features.

For the U.S., the release specifies a three-liter turbocharged gasoline V6 with quattro, while the SQ9 has a separate V8 specification. The common family design is not an engine identifier. Audi states that deliveries are planned to start in November 2026; as of this review, that is a future launch statement, not evidence of a completed U.S. delivery. The euro price and German diesel details in the same release should not be transferred to the U.S. gasoline model.
