The 2027 Lincoln Navigator still wears a light bar

The 2027 Lincoln Navigator lists Dynamic Signature Lighting on Premiere, Reserve, and Black Label. The illuminated star and the grille surround are the trim split. The L is the longer body.

Does the light bar across a 2027 Lincoln Navigator pick a Black Label, or the long-wheelbase L? It picks neither. Lincoln’s 2027 Premiere page lists Dynamic Signature Lighting – LED with the LED daytime running lights, a satin aluminum grille surround with satin aluminum open jewels, and LED taillamps, rear appliqué, and backup lamps. The 2027 Reserve page prints that lighting line and that satin surround. The 2027 Black Label page prints Dynamic Signature Lighting – LED as well, and it describes the grille as an illuminated Lincoln Star and an LED bar.

The car in that frame is a 2025 Navigator, photographed May 16, 2025, in Jamaica, Queens. The file calls it a 2025 Navigator. A photograph’s date is not the model year. What the frame shows is the bar: a horizontal lamp set across the grille, bright slats under it, the Lincoln star in the center, and NAVIGATOR spelled along the leading edge of the hood. Lincoln’s August 15, 2024 U.S. debut of the all-new Navigator calls that a signature grille with an integrated lightbar, consistent across the lineup, and says the lightbar illuminates sequentially from the center outward on approach, as part of Lincoln Embrace. The full-width taillamps, that release says, do likewise. The 2027 Premiere page still describes the welcome as headlamp and taillamp lighting sequences, a welcome mat on the ground below the front doors, and lighting through the cabin, with the farewell sequence run in reverse. Lincoln’s Embrace page lists what Embrace can include, among the items headlamp light-up and the front-grille Lincoln emblem illuminating, and it says those welcome features depend on the vehicle’s trim and options. A still frame shows the bar and the star. It does not run the sequence, and it does not show whether the star is the lamp or the badge.

The surround is where the trims split

The bar is the line all three 2027 pages print. The grille around it is where the lists diverge.

Black Label’s exterior section says the grille features an illuminated Lincoln Star and an LED bar. The list there includes an illuminated Lincoln Star in the grille and a pillar-black grille surround with satin aluminum closed jewels, and it also names a pillar-black surround with pillar-black closed jewels and one with Radiant Copper closed jewels. Reserve puts the satin aluminum surround with open jewels on the standard lines with Dynamic Signature Lighting, then places a pillar-black surround with pillar-black closed jewels and an illuminated Lincoln Star on the lines after that. The Reserve page calls the Jet Appearance Package available: 22-inch or available 24-inch high-gloss Ebony wheels, black exterior detailing, and an eye-catching grille. The same page’s note on that package specifies a unique Lincoln grille with a black pillar surround and a black mesh insert, black beltline molding, a black front-bumper fascia, a black accent badge, black-painted roof rails, and an illuminated Lincoln Star. Premiere’s exterior list names the satin surround with open jewels and does not name the illuminated star.

The surround in the Queens photograph is bright, with horizontal slats, so it is the bright surround, not the pillar-black surround or the black mesh that Jet note describes. Bright metal does not establish the satin-aluminum name, the open-jewels name, or a trim. The star in that grille is the badge the frame shows. The illuminated star is the separate line on the Black Label description and on the later Reserve lines, and the Embrace page treats the grille emblem lighting up as something that depends on trim and options.

The tail repeats the width

The rear is a 2025 Navigator at the 2025 Montréal International Auto Show, photographed January 23, 2025. The file calls it a 2025 Navigator. A lamp runs the width of the tail, a Lincoln star sits on the panel above that lamp, and a horizontal shut line crosses the gate. The 2024 debut says the full-width taillamps spread across the liftgate, fronted by 3D badging that lights up as part of Lincoln Embrace, and backed by Lincoln stars laser-etched into the rear panel. The 2027 Premiere, Reserve, and Black Label exterior lists each include LED taillamps, a rear appliqué, and backup lamps. The still frame shows the lamp, the star, and the shut line. It does not show the sequence, the etching, or the badge lit.

The 2027 Premiere page lists a Lincoln Split Gate with Open on Approach and calls the gate a two-part design. The debut describes the top three-quarters rising like a liftgate and the bottom quarter lowering like a tailgate. A closed gate at a show shows the shut line. It does not show the gate open.

The L is the longer body

The file is a 2025 Lincoln Navigator L, photographed in Kirkland, Québec, in July 2025. The frame takes in the nose and the long side: a roof rail, a step along the sill, and the cabin running back to a rear door. The 2027 Premiere exterior specifications give the standard Navigator a 122.5-inch wheelbase and a length of 210 inches, and the Navigator L a 131.5-inch wheelbase and a length of 221.9 inches. The same page lists Navigator (Short Wheelbase) and Navigator L (Long Wheelbase) beside the lighting lines, and Reserve and Black Label print that pair next to Dynamic Signature Lighting. None of the three pages gives the L a separate lamp. The length in the photograph is the body the L name refers to. The file does not name a trim, and the step along the sill does not settle the line: Premiere lists running boards, while Reserve and Black Label list power-deployable running boards.

What the lamp leaves open

The axle is written on the specification table. The 2024 debut said four-wheel drive was standard on the all-new Navigator. The 2027 Premiere, Reserve, and Black Label powertrain tables each print 4X2 as standard and 4X4 as optional, and each prints 440 horsepower at 5,400 rpm and 510 lb-ft at 3,300 rpm for both wheelbases, with the footnote that those ratings use premium fuel per SAE J1349. EPA’s 2027 Navigator page lists two rows, each a 3.5-liter and an automatic on regular gasoline: 2WD at 16 city, 23 highway, and 18 combined, and 4WD at 15, 22, and 17. The Premiere table prints those same city, highway, and combined figures for the standard-wheelbase 4X2 and 4X4, and it marks the L ratings TBD. The lamp does not pick the row, the axle, or the wheelbase. The photographs are a 2025 Navigator and a 2025 Navigator L. The 2027 pages describe the lighting. The window sticker, not the bar, settles the model year, the trim, the illuminated star, and which axle is driven.
