The 2027 MINI Cooper 2 Door still wears three lamp signatures

Which graphic is lit in the round lamp? One of three. MINI’s design page for the 2027 Cooper 2 Door calls the headlights round LEDs and gives the headlights and the taillights three distinct signatures, three adjustable graphics, and a light orchestration on the way in and on the way out. The overview calls those headlights circular LEDs with three customizable graphics and calls the taillights triangular. The octagonal grille sits under the lamps. A parked car shows one of the graphics. That is the setting.

The nose in that frame is a MINI Cooper S in Favoured trim, an F66, photographed on September 21, 2025. A photograph’s date is not the model year. The octagon, and the horizontal bar inside the round lamp, are the face MINI’s February 7, 2024 U.S. release gave this generation: a new octagonal grille, horizontal LED daytime running lights as the standard setting, and three selectable signatures, Classic, Favoured, or JCW, for those daytime lights and for the redesigned matrix rear lights. Each signature opens and closes with a welcome or goodbye animation. The 2027 design page still offers the three graphics, and its lighting lines leave Classic, Favoured, and JCW off the lamps. On that page those words are the style packages, piano-black accents, silver accents, or the JCW cabin and wheels. The Commons file uses Favoured for the trim of this car, so the word names the package. The lamp shows the graphic that was switched on.

The lamps belong to the 2 Door MINI was already selling in the US. The June 5, 2025 U.S. release lists the Cooper Hardtop 2 Door as body group F66. The July 15, 2026 U.S. release is the step to the 2027 model year. It holds the Cooper range’s base prices and spends the update on equipment, rather than on a new face or a new lamp. EPA’s 2027 Cooper C 2 Door page is that model year in U.S. fuel-economy data.

From the side, the generation is a short hood with the round lamp at the front corner and the tail lamp at the rear corner of the same two-door body. The file is a 2024 MINI Cooper Sport C in Nanuq White, an F66, taken on June 21, 2024, and it records a 1.5-liter engine. The February 2024 U.S. release puts the Cooper and Cooper S sold here on this body with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder only, so the profile is the shape those US cars share.

The tail is a separate F66, photographed in Stuttgart-Vaihingen on May 9, 2024, with the lamps set in the corners of the hatch. The overview’s word for them is triangular, and the 2024 release calls them redesigned matrix lights. The design page gives the tails the same three graphics as the headlights, so the corner and the round lamp are one system seen from two ends.

The name of the graphic is the part a still frame cannot finish. MINI’s 2027 tech page describes the Experience Modes as changes to the circular OLED display, the ambient lighting, and the dashboard projections, switched from the toggle bar. The February 2024 release had already put those modes on projectors aimed at the dashboard, apart from the exterior lamps. The three adjustable LED headlight and taillight patterns sit with the LED headlights under Signature trim, the trim that page marks Classic style only. Signature Plus and Iconic include that equipment, and Favoured style is listed on those higher trims, so the patterns stay with the lamps when the package changes. From the curb the 2027 Cooper 2 Door wears the octagon, the round lamp, and one graphic in the triangular tail. Which of the three names is selected is the setting on the page.
