The Audi Nuvolari still wears a vertical frame
Audi’s Nuvolari photographs show a near-production prototype; its upright front panel illustrates design, while delivery remains a plan.
The photographed Nuvolari is a near-production prototype. Audi says so in the image records and in its North American debut announcement. That distinction matters more than the 2027 label in the local image filenames: a press photograph is not evidence of a delivered customer car.

The upright panel in the nose and four small rectangular light elements under each cover are visible design cues. The low body and large side intake supply another view of the same prototype. They can explain the title’s vertical-frame description, but the photograph alone cannot establish an airflow measurement or the final production lighting equipment.

Audi announces a 499-unit worldwide program, 1,001 PS of system output and first deliveries planned for the first half of 2027. PS is the unit used by the manufacturer; it should not be silently relabeled as U.S. SAE horsepower. The press kit presents the production program alongside prototype imagery. Neither a U.S. road debut nor the planned delivery date proves that every specification is final or that U.S. customer deliveries have begun.
